About Us

Pictorial Popotillo art or Millet's Broom Stick Art is still practiced in and around Mexico City by only a few dedicated craftsmen. Rudy and Angie Pedraza, popotillo craftsmen, construct colorful mosaics using colored millet's straw pressed down one by one onto a bee wax covered board. We use images and scenes from, pictures, drawings or cartoons. We can do customized mosaics from virtually any picture: you or your family, a pet, your home, or your favorite landscape . . . anything is possible. We would welcome the opportunity to show you our work personally. Please contact us for an appointment, or visit us at our booth at one of the events listed, or stop by our showroom.
